From PixelLight Wiki

Currently we're trying to build up a community around PixelLight - it turns out that's a quite hard job. Maybe you're able to help?

Communication platforms

• PixelLight website with a blog (due to massive spam, comments need to be approved and therefore may not appear at once) and embedded Twitter messages - For official information and announcements.
• PixelLight wiki - Our public wiki is the main community resource which can be used to contribute knowledge or ideas related to PixelLight. It also contains many more documentations, howto's and tutorials contributed by the PixelLight developers and users.
• If you have any bugs to report, please use our tracker
• You can use the following RSS feed to get informed automatically about changes within the main Git repository containing the PixelLight source codes (no public write access because we want to keep up a high source code quality).
• There's a IRC channel named #pixellight at the Efnet network (e.g. irc.prison.net, efnet.demon.co.uk, irc.inet.tele.dk, irc.isdnet.fr)
• There are forums available.

Community feature requests

Beside the further PixelLight development plans and wishes of the PixelLight team at the official PixelLight roadmap, there were already some feature requests from PixelLight users. Of course, whenever possible we try to take feedback or feature requests of users into account, but sadly, we only have quite limited time and manpower resources. Therefore, there are things we currently can't realize because of lack of hardware, software licenses, experience with certain software or just available development time. But maybe another PixelLight user is up to the challenge?

Here's a list of community feature request the PixelLight team currently can't realize because of the reasons mentioned above:

• A general PixelLight editor... currently we're trying to form a team creating a Qt based PixelLight editor
• Blender exporter
• Maya exporter
